As published on May 18, 1988: Students from four area schools were recognized May 11 in Hernando as the annual M.C. Sparks Sr., Memorial Convervation Essay Contest was held at the Agricultural building on Highway 51. Schools represented included Olive Branch Middle School, Sacred Heart School in Walls, Hernando Middle School and Southaven Junior High School.
